Hi, I just wanted to send you a testimonial after my assessment on 12/05/16 I wouldn’t have known about the possibility of DSAs if it hadn’t been for a meeting with one of your staff members at the Learning Box in Worcester. They were enthusiastic and knowledgeable enough to convince me to try the application. I have now been granted equipment and support thanks to their hard work. All of the staff I have spoken to, in person and on the phone, have been wonderful. Not only have they been calm, helpful and efficient every time I speak to them, they have worked really hard, first in making contact with me, and then in organising an appointment that I could attend. They were always positive and upbeat, taking the time to listen to me and clearly explain my options in return. In the assessment session, the staff were warm and encouraging; it felt as though we were having a conversation with friends, where nothing was too stupid to ask! They did not rush us when we first arrived, and gave us plenty of time to get settled before we began. Even when my answers wandered completely off target, they allowed me to finish my train of thought before moving on (this was an essential for me, as if I am interrupted, I struggle to start again, and become frustrated). Their answers to our questions clearly showed their incredible knowledge of the subject. When we left both my mum and I felt empowered, and my parents now feel more confident that I will have the tools to succeed in my studies. I really cannot thank the team enough.
